If you're looking to buy both a high-end Samsung smartphone and a tablet, and you're looking at getting a sort of rebate for the two, then T-Mobile might be the carrier you're looking for. A leaked communication to their staff reportedly said that they will be offering a $100 prepaid Mastercard for all customers who will be buying both a smartphone and a tablet together, although not necessarily at the same time.

Root access gained for T-Mobile Xperia Z3, Verizon Xperia Z3v

We’ve talked about Sony’s locked bootloaders recently, and we feel the consumers who can totally relate with that are Sony Xperia device users in the United States. It doesn’t matter what carrier you get it from, it will most likely have a locked bootloader, because life just sucks like that. We kid, of course – it’s just more difficult for US Xperia users, that is a fact. But there just might be good news at the jump.

T-Mobile targets Verizon subscribers in new campaign

Expect to see and hear T-Mobile become more aggressive in marketing and in luring new customers as it is now focusing its attention on Verizon. This is after targeting AT&T the past couple of years and the mobile carrier is more than ready to take on the Big Red. These three major carriers are already on top but looks like the competition will even be tighter.

Guest Mode coming to Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge with Android 5.1 update

One of the newest things that the Android 5.0 Lollipop brought to devices on this platform is the guest mode feature, which essentially allows each Android smartphone or tablet to have multiple users on just one gadget. However, Samsung chose not to have this function on their devices, for some reason. But now, it looks like their newest flagships, the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge will be getting this feature once they have been upgraded to Android 5.1.1 which should be coming really soon.

Project Fi app now out on Play Store, but sorry, you can’t get it

What better way to celebrate and present your latest project than by introducing an app? Google wasted no time in launching the Project Fi app for Android with the aim of providing new subscribers a better wireless experience. The wireless service which we've been anticipating since last year was finally launched last week. Most of the leaked information, including the name of the project, turned out to be true. What we didn't expect though was the fact that it's an invite-only service, at least, for now.

Aside from the news that that Galaxy Note 4 getting a taste of Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, T-Mobile is also relisting the ZTE ZMAX. This was actually soon after the Sony Xperia Z3 was also relisted on the website after being absent from the lineup for some time. This is good news for those who want a ZTE ZMAX and want to get the Android tablet only from T-Mobile. It wasn't actually a long absence but the ten days of possible sales is already a loss for both companies.

Big tech companies provide help to disaster response efforts in Nepal

It was a sad weekend as tragedy struck Nepal. The country was hit by 7.8-magnitude earthquake causing damage all throughout the Kathmandu capital. The tech industry is especially mourning because Google executive Dan Fredinburg died in the Mount Everest avalanche as triggered by the earthquake. Death toll has recently hit 4,000 and number is expected to rise in the next few days as disaster response continues. Because of all these unfortunate events, tech companies have responded on their own by launching special programs and efforts to help the victims of the earthquake. Microsoft, Facebook, Google, and T-Mobile are only some of those we know in the industry that are currently helping in the relief efforts.
