T-Mobile retail traffic up following UNcarrier announcement
While the long term effects have yet to be seen, T-Mobile seems to have attracted a fair bit of attention following their recent UNcarrier announcement. The interesting part here, it seems foot traffic in T-Mobile retail stores has been on the rise.

Straight Talk not enforcing a 1.5GB data cutoff
Despite some recent rumors, those using Straight Talk do not have to worry about having their data access turned off at 1.5GB. Straight Talk seems to be attacking these rumors head on and have recently stated rather simply that they "are not cutting off data at 1.5GB on Straight Talk." The key here sounds like it is in the name though.

T-Mobile HTC One release date pegged for April 19
The HTC One page on the T-Mobile website hasn't shown anything new for some time now. In fact, it seems to be showing less these days. Gone are the pre-orders and gone is the mention of getting a $100 credit for participating in the HTC One trade-up program. While we had known the AT&T and Developer Edition of the HTC One was set to begin shipping on April 19 -- we now have a date for T-Mobile.

Virgin Mobile giving T-Mobile switchers a $100 bill credit
T-Mobile appears to be under fire from another carrier. In this case, we are talking Virgin Mobile and the newly launched campaign promising a $100 credit for those who make the switch. Similar to what we have recently been seeing from T-Mobile in regards to the total cost of ownership over two-years, Virgin Mobile has offered a comparison using the Galaxy S II as an example.

Sony Xperia Z expected to arrive with T-Mobile
Some newly surfaced rumors are calling for T-Mobile to release a relatively new Sony smartphone. That handset is the Sony Xperia Z and according to the details that have been shared up until now, the handset is currently in a testing period with T-Mobile. T-Mobile reports first positive branded growth in four years
While this is all a bit soon to be a reaction from the recent T-Mobile UNcarrier event, it does appear as if the carrier has some good news to share. Whether that good news will continue will be a story for another day, however as of today T-Mobile is reporting "continued positive momentum and the building of a solid foundation for growth."

LG Optimus G2 for T-Mobile spotted with Snapdragon 800 processor
We often see benchmark filings for handsets that are expected, or for those that happened to have been previously rumored. As of today however we have one that appears to be somewhat of a mystery device. The handset is shown as the LG D801 and so far, we have yet to see any images. In fact, aside from a few small details coming from the filing, the LG D801 is mostly a mystery. That said, based on what we have seen -- it is a mystery we are interested in seeing the outcome of.
