Samsung have been pretty consistent in their commitment to put out ruggedized outdoors-y versions of their phones – always having one or two of them in their catalogs. The most recent devices have been the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S5 Active – both ruggedized takes on the South Korean manufacturer’s flagship phones. We don’t know yet if there will be a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active version, but what has leaked is a rumored update to the Samsung Galaxy Xcover line.

Russian Samsung Galaxy S4 getting a taste of Lollipop

We know the Samsung Galaxy S4 is getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update but we don't know when the Russians would be able to get their hands on the sweet version. A Galaxy S4 with Lollipop build was leaked a few months ago after a related rumor came out. Of course, the Android 5.0 update was officially released for the Galaxy S4 but only made available in a few countries. Even the Google Play Edition of the smartphone got a quick update.

The airline and the South Korean giant's Australian division recently teamed up to offer a new in-flight entertainment service for the First Class passengers of Qantas Airlines.

Englightenment or desperation? Whichever your take on Samsung's motives, the Korean OEM is now reported to be slimming down its phone's experience even further. In addition to making the TouchWiz aesthetic fall in line with the new Material Design, it will also be moving much of its less frequently used but pre-installed apps out of the default installation and into Google Play Store, or perhaps its own GALAXY Apps Store, paving the way for a more Nexus-like experience of Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy S6, S Edge confirmed by Vodafone Netherlands

Everybody is excited and prepping for the launch of Samsung’s newest flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S6, and local carriers like Vodafone in Netherlands is no exception. Well, they’ve all but confirmed that they will be carrying the latest flagship phone – but a not-so-cursory look into the source code of the same website shows that they might also carry one “Samsung Galaxy S Edge”. Whatever might that be?
