HTC hits Samsung with a Galaxy S5 band-aid joke

Phone manufacturers often poke fun at the competition. We've seen plenty from all the big players, however it looks like HTC has become the latest to jump in with an attack. HTC has taken to Twitter in an effort to push the One (M8) above the Galaxy S5. But the catch is -- HTC didn't actually mention the Samsung device by name.

Galaxy Note 4 Exynos proc faster vs. Snapdragon variant

Seems like only yesterday when we wrote about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 appearing in AnTuTu’s benchmark database – check that, it was 3 days ago. The benchmarking outfit is at it again, testing the two rumored processors for the Galaxy Note 4’s two upcoming variants – the Snapdragon 805 for the US version and the Exynos 5433 for the international version. The results are enough to raise an eyebrow at, putting the Samsung-made Exynos chip above Qualcomm’s premier processor.

Samsung is introducing a new smartphone, and it a form factor that will probably be pretty familiar to Android fans. The South Korean company is making a Galaxy S5 Sport handset, which follows up on the recently released Active. It’s a familiar look for fans of the previous Active iterations from Samsung, but is it necessary?

First NVIDIA-powered Chromebook seen online

It is not widely known that there is not a single Chromebook out there with an NVIDIA chip powering it. If you look under the hood, most netbooks running Google’s Chrome OS will have either an Intel mobile processor or in some cases, Samsung’s Exynos chips. This is why Acer’s CB5 Chromebook, whose pictures leaked online, is a bit strange – it is rumored to have an NVIDIA chip powering it.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 makes appearance in AnTuTu database

Samsung has been very active in putting out its latest and greatest devices for its adoring market – the Samsung Galaxy S5 and its variants the S5 Active, the S5 K Zoom, and most recently the S5 LTE-A. One of those not yet released but anticipated for this year us the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which most industry watchers think will be released at the IFA 2014 consumer electronics trade show. September is still a long ways, so for now, let us be content with the details of two variants of the Galaxy Note 4 which showed up in the database of benchmarking app AnTuTu.

Samsung smartwatch to be launched as Android Wear at Google I/O

Wearables have the potential to be really big, and market leaders are scrambling to position their own products to leverage on the oncoming rush. Samsung has been marking its next wearable to be part of Android Wear, to be launched at the Google I/O developer conference – a smartwatch, in the mold of the Galaxy Gear devices released earlier.
