comScore: Android still king, Motorola and HTC falter

The latest comScore figures are out, and show little change in the order of smartphone OEMs with regard to market share in the US. Of interest is the gains and losses some have made, with one notable company having dropped off on a significant way. Don’t worry, though — Android is still on top.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom specs surface in benchmark report

We've yet to see anything official from Samsung regarding the Galaxy S5 Zoom, however a good picture of the device is beginning to surface. All those interesting flexible displays we see now and again at trade shows have one thing in common: they’re not available for purchase. Verizon Galaxy S5 now available for pre-order

Samsung Galaxy S5 pre-orders have arrived with Verizon Wireless. The handset will begin shipping on April 11th, and it sits priced at $199.99 on a new two-year agreement.

White House takes issue with David Ortiz’s presidential selfie

David Ortiz of the Red Sox recently snapped a selfie with President Barack Obama. The initial moment seemed spontaneous enough, however judging from the quick retweets and follow-up statements from Samsung -- it seems this may not have been nearly as spontaneous as originally thought. Basically, there appear to be some similarities to the selfie Ellen DeGeneres took with other celebrities during the Oscars. Something reminiscent of a staged event.
