Samsung filed patent for ejectable pen for a new Galaxy Note

While Samsung's Galaxy Note and its S-Pen is unlike no other phablet (or smartphone) in the market right now, there's always room for improvement. One of the things that users have been asking for is an easier way to handle the S-Pen, especially for times when all you can use temporarily is one hand. Well, it looks like Samsung us listening to you as a document in the US Patent and Trademark Office reveals the OEM's plans for an ejectable pen in their New Note.

Samsung Belgium turns chargers into chairs, hammocks in park

What do you with wired chargers when you don't need them anymore? Most of us would just think of throwing them away or giving them to people whose devices are still dependent on that. But Samsung Belgium decided to make something that would not just be of "public service" but also would get people wondering about their new flagship devices, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. So they partnered with a local "creative recycling agency" in order to create usable art displays.

Samsung compares Galaxy S6 edge with iPhone 6

Only in the world of Samsung is "6 > 6". No, it's not because people in the marketing department suddenly became bad at math but a new ad campaign from the OEM shows the Galaxy S6 edge being compared to another smartphone that also has the number 6. It is not surprising anymore that the target of their ridicule is once again their arch rival Apple, and this time around, it's their iPhone 6 that bears the brunt of the attack.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge Android 5.1.1 preview

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge getting the Android 5.1.1 update is highly anticipated. Yesterday, we showed the two premium phones will get the Guest mode, RAW support, and probably the ability to set lower ISO levels even up to 50. We're not sure about the changes on shutter speed but we could add that to the list of our expectations. Samsung is believed to be releasing the software update this June but some geeks have been lucky with the early builds of Android 5.1.1 on the S6 and S6 edge.

Samsung Pay to debut in September instead of July

Samsung has confirmed that their supposed launch of mobile payment gateway Samsung Pay this July will be moved to September instead. It will now probably be part of the next high-end device that the Korean OEM will release, which means it will be the Galaxy Note 5, if they stick to the schedule this time. This is bad news for the company as it will be a few months where they will lose ground against other more aggressive mobile payment systems.

Samsung removes leaked Galaxy Active S6 specs on their website

It's either someone may have pushed the wrong button, or they wanted to tease us and get people talking about the soon-to-be launched new smartphone. But either way, for a brief moment, we were treated to the actual specs (or so we believe) of the Samsung Galaxy Active S6. And even though they took it down immediately, we all know that nothing ever disappears from the Internet. Most people who were aware of the "leak" were able to catch the AT&T branded smartphone and its specs.

Samsung partners with designers for accessories for Galaxy S6, S6 edge

Samsung has released their new collection of accessories for the new flagship devices, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. And these aren't just any simple smartphone cases, but rather beautifully designed cases from handpicked brands and designers that they believe match their philosophy of forward-thinking fusion of fashion and technology. The accessories, along with other audio and power products will be available in the Galaxy Essentials app that comes with the two smartphones out of the box.

Android 5.1 update coming soon to Galaxy S6, S6 edge

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge's Android 5.1 Lollipop update was tipped for next month, just in time for summer. The information was from an update schedule Rogers posted, saying the software update is for the winning pair. The only difference between the two models is the dual curved edge display screen of the S6 edge. The latter has that "wow" factor because of the unique screen--actually a first for any smartphone.

Here’s how Samsung made the metal and glass of the Galaxy S6, S6 edge

The Galaxy S6 and S6 edge are no doubt two great phones. The latest flagships from the South Korean giant have been much talked about even before their official announcement and actual release. Several benchmark and stress tests have already proven either one of the two can survive under normal situations. And as with most successful products, the pair has undergone careful planning, extensive research, and development.
