Android 4.4 KitKat reveal next month, we're still keeping an eye on Android 4.3, which seems to be slowly but surely rolling out to devices. Now we're receiving confirmation that next in line to get the updates will not only be Samsung's current Galaxy S 4 flagship but even last year's Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II models as well.
Samsung has been excellent in the past and HTC is looking to improve in that area, but latest reports are showing Sammy taking their time on the 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III and Note II.
Samsung announced that its KNOX security framework is now available for use by consumers. Samsung's end-to-end security solution is what helped its Galaxy S 4 be approved for use in US government offices and will now land in the hands of regular users.
Samsung Galaxy S III from the carrier will not be getting an upgrade to Android 4.2.2. Instead, they will be directly updated to the recently announced Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Galaxy S III originally began back in December of last year. The initial rollout was by way of Kies and the OTA came available a month later. While that update brought the handset up to Android 4.1.1, it didn't include the Samsung Premium Suite portion of the update. Well, flash forward till the present day and there is finally word of when that will be available.
Samsung when it took the latter to court last year. Because now it turns out that two of Samsung's smartphones topped a customer satisfaction survey, beating out three Apple iPhones.
Galaxy S4 that is reportedly running an early version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for some. We know the new OS is coming, possibly July 24th, and now we're hearing Samsung will be skipping Android 4.2.2 altogether.
