Verizon Galaxy S III update to 4.1.2 rolling out now
After Verizon mentioned the update was coming soon yesterday for their popular Galaxy S III smartphone, today we can confirm that the update is indeed already rolling out as we speak. Sure would be nice if Verizon was this fast for the Galaxy Nexus - but that's another story. For those with a GS3 read on for more details.

We suspect most Samsung fans are waiting for the Galaxy S IV announcement, which will be happening on March 14. But while we wait for that to happen, it looks like one US carrier still has some plans with the Galaxy S III. That carrier is T-Mobile and it is looking like the LTE capable Galaxy S III is indeed going to be released soon.

Our first look at Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean running on a Samsung Galaxy S III has surfaced today over on SamMobile, and we're getting a look at what Sammy has planned regarding all the tweaks and changes to Jelly Bean. From lockscreen widgets, expandable notifications, and of course the new quick settings menu are all on board. Obviously with a little TouchWiz included.

At this point most realize that Android and iOS are the dominant players in the mobile world. Looking at bit more specific and in terms of Android and popularity, we are often talking about Samsung. And not only Samsung, but the Galaxy S III. In this case, Chitika, the online advertising network recently took a closer look at the amount of web traffic that was being generated between the Galaxy S III and the iPhone 5.

Samsung has been on a roll as of late when it comes to software updates for their growing number of Android smartphones. From the Galaxy S II finally getting 4.1 Jelly Bean internationally, to Android 4.1.2 hitting most of their new flagship Galaxy S III smartphones. Today we can confirm the earlier delayed update is now arriving for Telstra customers.

Samsung's extremely popular Galaxy S III flagship smartphone has been updated at a quick pace from Sammy, and all but those in the US have been updated to the latest 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Sadly for those in the US we're still waiting for that update to arrive for some of the carriers, most notably Verizon's model. Today however it leaked, but still isn't showing all the features we've come to expect.

We all know the folks at T-Mobile have been working diligently to get their own 4G LTE network up and running to compete with AT&T and Verizon. While their current 42 HSPA+ network is quick, it still isn't quite 4G LTE. We know T-Mobile is planning to push their upgrade hard in the early parts of 2013, and a new leak shows the Galaxy S III might be first to the plate come March 27th.

Samsung’s 2013 La Fleur smartphone collection unveiled
Samsung has officially unveiled the 2013 edition La Fleur smartphone collection. The collection will include the Galaxy S III Mini, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy S DUOS and the Galaxy Ace DUOS as well as the Galaxy S III in both white and red. Samsung has yet to comment in terms of a global release schedule, however we do know they will be arriving in Russia.

Yesterday we found out about Verizon's plans to stop offering the original Galaxy Nexus, but things are far worse than we feared. It turns out Verizon is discontinuing a number of handsets, with the apparent goal of letting stock dry up over the next few months. Some of the handsets Verizon is discontinuing are a little on the old side these days, while others might be getting phased out in anticipation of a successor.

Given the steep cost of a new smartphone, picking one that's perfect for you can be a pretty daunting task. We often turn to retailer employees when it comes time to pick a new handset, asking them for suggestions about which phone would be ideal for our lives. As it turns out, employees at some of the biggest phone retailers in the UK seem to suggest Samsung handsets over Apple's iPhone line more often.
