We have heard details about how Samsung is working on a rugged version of the GALAXY S 4, which at the moment is known as the Active. Coming a bit more recently though, we are now seeing details of another version of the GALAXY S 4. This one is focused on the camera and at the moment, has been dubbed the GALAXY S 4 Zoom.

Verizon Galaxy Camera update brings remote view finder and new modes
Those carrying a Verizon Wireless branded Galaxy Camera may want to be on the lookout for an update. Basically, Verizon Wireless has announced and will soon begin rolling out the update which contains some new features and modes as well as some smaller improvements. The update will be coming over-the-air and will measure in at a rather large 179.8MB in size.

We've been hearing reports that the company has plans to release several more Android cameras to follow up the Samsung Galaxy Camera, and today we could have our first look at their mirrorless NX2000.

Samsung Galaxy Camera WiFi model hits the streets for $449
Samsung's popular and quite capable Galaxy Camera is about to become readily more available to consumers interested in an Android-powered camera. With both AT&T and Verizon rocking 4G models, today Samsung has announced a slightly cheaper WiFi only version will hit the streets for just $449. The new model is identical to the data-toting version of this smart camera, only no data plan and 2-year contract is required.

While Samsung has had a cellular connected Galaxy Camera available, they have just today unveiled a second model. This latest model keeps the same features, however there is one key difference -- this latest is Wi-Fi only. The camera is dubbed the Galaxy Camera (Wi-Fi) and will arrive running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

While this news will probably make tons of smartphone owners upset while their still waiting, good for Samsung for being quick with updates. Today Samsung has confirmed the update for their new and impressive Samsung Galaxy Camera to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is rolling out. The update isn't a big one, or bring too many changes, but brings the camera in line with their Galaxy S III and Note II devices.

There is a constant influx of tablets and phones hitting the market all the time, but a full-featured camera with Android installed; that's something you don't see everyday. Earlier this year the team from Samsung announced the impressive Samsung Galaxy Camera complete with some pretty impressive specs making this essentially a smart camera. It's available already from AT&T with "faux 4G" HSPA+ speeds but today Verizon has just announced the first 4G LTE equipped camera. Samsung's Galaxy Camera has been announced by Verizon and will be available come the 13th of December.

We received a few tips last week that Verizon and Samsung were planning to release the Galaxy Camera complete with 4G LTE speeds and today it appears to be official. While neither party has officially announced the connected smart camera for Verizon, it's been confirmed right on Samsung's official site.
