The slightly lower-end Transformer Pad 300, the replacement model for ASUS' original Transformer, will hit the United States on Sunday, April 22nd. Toshiba Excite 10 tablet spotted at the FCC
Toshiba made a splash with a trio of new Ice Cream Sandwich tablets on Monday: the Excite 7.7, Excite 10 and Excite 13, at 7.7, 10 and a massive 13.3 inches, respectively. At the time the company announced that it was launching the (boring) 10-inch version in May, with the 7.7 and 13-inchers to follow in June. It looks like they're wasting no time in making the deadline, as Liliputing spotted the obligatory FCC ID page for the Excite 10, a necessary step for any piece of wireless consumer electronics in the US.

LG Optimus 4X HD gets benchmarked
LG's newest flagship the Optimus 4X HD is still a few weeks out, but that hasn't stopped a few industrious geeks from giving the phone the benchmark treatment. Greek site TechBlog.gr put the quad-core phone through its paces and posted the results for gadget hounds everywhere. The conclusions aren't that surprising - they're right in line with our own tests of the HTC One X, the first phone to sport NVIDIA's Tegra 3 processor - but any speed demons out there will be wanting to compare and contrast the numbers.

Toshiba unveils 7.7, 10 and 13-inch Excite tablets running ICS
Watch out, Samsung: there's a new manufacturer looking to cover all the tablet bases. Toshiba's Excite line, previously restricted to a single 10-inch model, grows by three today. The company pulled the curtain off three new entries in the line, with screens sized 7.7, 10 and a massive 13.3-inches, all of them running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with NVIDIA Tegra 3 processors. The Excite 10 goes on sale next month, with the Excite 7.7 and Excite 13 following in June.

HTC One X shows NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 is a battery’s best friend
Starting today and all of this week we're getting our first look at the new HTC One series of smartphones. Starting with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core powered HTC One X, and then the equally impressive One S with the dual-core Qualcomm S4 Krait processor. We've reviewed them both here at Android Community and will link to them below, but what we were impressed with (among many things) was the battery life and conservation.

NVIDIA CEO hints at $200 Tegra 3 tablets

Here's a nice side choice to compliment your main course of Nexus Tablet rumors this evening: NVIDIA CEO spoke with the New York Times about lowering the price of Android tablets. Quote mister Jen-Hsun Huang: "“We took out $150 in build materials, things like expensive memory. At $199, you can just about buy a tablet at a 7-Eleven.” That's a long way from any sort of confirmation, but it shows that NVIDIA is as anxious as we are to lower the price of Android tablets, especially those with high-end components like the Tegra 3 processor.

Sony V150 quad-core Ice Cream Sandwich tablet spotted in benchmarks
Sony's a bit overdue for a new tablet - while the Tablet P and Tablet S are only technically about six months old, they're running on hardware that's over a year out of date. we were wondering when a refreshed version would show up, and thanks to Blog of Mobile... well, we're still wondering, but now we know it's coming. The "V150" device spotted running NenaMark benchmarks isn't identified as a tablet, but with a screen resolution of 1280x800, it's either that or yet another 5+-inch mega smartphone, and Sony's design DNA doesn't lend itself towards the latter.
