LG confirms that G4 does have Quick Charge 2.0

For those who were considering getting the LG G4, probably one of the things stopping them was when the OEM said that their new flagship will not have the Quick Charge 2.0 ability. And in this age where battery and charging issues are a big deal, that was a deal breaker. But now, apparently, LG has backtracked on that statement and is now saying that the G4 will in fact have that feature, bringing a sigh of relief for the potential smartphone buyers.

US Cellular intros LG Logos with gently curved HD display

After the LG G4, LG has announced a new smartphone in the form of the LG Logos. Actually, it was a silent announcement as it was only US Cellular who posted the unit ready for public consumption. This isn't premium as the leather-backed LG G4 but it's curvy, bold, and powerful for its affordable price and specs that are good enough.

LG Watch Urbane gets iFixit teardown, relatively easy repair

The iFixit team has put LG’s top-of-the-line Android Wear smartwatch – the LG Watch Urbane – squarely in its sights for a teardown treatment. Smartwatches are generally more prone to issues and breaks than smartphones, given the watches’ proximity to bodily movement. The teardown would most likely show if the LG Watch Urbane would at least be easy to repair, if needed.

LG wants you to compare G4 to iPhone 6, 6Plus

The LG G4 just launched a few days back, and as expected, people are relatively pleased with it. Among Android flagship phones, it will be competing with the very strong performing Samsung Galaxy S6, its edgy brother the Galaxy S6 Edge, the HTC One M9, and the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4. But in its detail web pages, it seems like LG really wants Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users to compare their screens with the G4, as if the latest iPhones are the real competition.

April might be over, but the month definitely went out with a bang. And although a lot of things did happen in those 30 long days, we cannot deny the commanding presence of the LG G4, which was finally officially revealed after half a dozen teasers, which actually didn't leave much to be surprised about. What was slightly surprising, however, was Microsoft's revelation that it would let Android apps be built for Windows 10 phones, to some extent. These and more in your latest edition of Android Community's Weekly Digest, covering the period from April 27 to May 2, 2015.

They've also launched the tag for their marketing campaign for their new baby, which is "See the great, fell the great". Okay, it's not exactly groundbreaking, but sounds pleasant enough right?

Mophie announces Juice Pack for brand new LG G4

The announcement of the specs of the LG G4 is still hot off the presses, and one of the most attractive features of their new flagship is that it has a 3,000 mAh battery that is also replaceable in case it runs out of juice. But if you still need more power than that (as you probably will, tinkering around with your brand new device), then one of the external batteries you can consider is Mophie's Juice Pack, which will be available soon.
