Verizon brings two new tablets: LG G Pad 7.0 LTE and 10.0 LTE

People are always looking towards to the holiday season not just to receive gifts from loved ones but to also buy new gadgets for themselves (or in younger people's case, to ask their parents for new gadgets). Verizon has just announced two new products that will vie for your wallet's attention: the LG G Pad 7.0 LTE and its slightly bigger cousin, the LG G Pad 10.0 LTE.

LG releases an eyeful of AKA smartphones in South Korea

Have you always wanted a smartphone that can look directly at you and react to how you're using it just by looking into its eyes? No? Well, apparently LG believes there's a market for such a device, at least in South Korea. They unveiled a new line of smartphones called Aka (pronounced as "aw-kuh") and yes, it really has eyes that can stare deep into your digital soul, and apparently with personalities to boot. Bet you wish you lived in the East Asian country or that they would bring this to the US right?

LG rolling out Android Lollipop update this week for G3

If you are the lucky owner of an LG G3 and also looking forward to the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, then this is your lucky day indeed (well, also if you live in Poland). The Korean OEM has announced that they will start rolling out the update for their flagship device this week, becoming the first smartphone manufacturer to do so, or at least officially announce that they are doing so. Poland is the lucky country to first receive the major update, followed by other regions, although no schedule has yet been announced.

LG G2 Lite and LG L Prime smartphones unveiled in Brazil

A pair of new LG smartphones has been unveiled including the LG G2 Lite and LG Prime L smartphones. The G2 Lite D295 smartphone has a quad core processor running at 1.2GHz under the hood from Qualcomm. The rear camera is an 8MP unit and it has a front camera for selfie taking as well.

World’s narrowest bezel arrives in LG’s new smartphone LCD panel

Do you feel like your smartphone doesn't have enough space on its screen, but you don't want to upgrade to a tablet or even a phablet? LG thinks they may have found the solution as they have created an LCD panel that will give phones the maximum possible screen real estate. This is because it has the world's thinnest bezel and at just 0.7mm thick (or rather thin) on the left and right side, it is even thinner than a credit card.

Latest Q3 2014 IDC figures show Xiaomi now 3rd in smartphones shipped

While some brands and markets may have already plateaued when it comes to smartphone consumption, there are still those in the emerging market that have just found their stride, as more options become available to the consumers. Samsung and Apple may still be top in terms of quantities shipped, but other brands, particularly the curious case case of Xiaomi, are playing catch-up to the big boys, indicating the shift in terms of which regions or countries OEMs should focus on.

LG confirms Android Lollipop coming to G3 and G2 as well

LG G3 and G2 owners can all now breathe a sigh of relief (if they were ever worried) as it has been confirmed that Android 5.0 or Lollipop as it will be more popularly known will be coming to said devices. The South Korean OEM is one of the last ones to announce that their flagship device was getting an upgrade, as anticipation for the rollout of the latest major update from Google is imminent. Samsung, HTC, Sony, ASUS and of course Nexus devices have all previously announced that they will be getting "Lollipop-ized".

LG G3 also getting the Android Lollipop update

The last manufacturer to tell us when its device, or rather one getting the Android Lollilop is LG. We know the latest Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship and its Google Play edition will get a taste of the Lollipop this coming December, as well as, the Galaxy Note 4 as earlier teased. Of course, the new Nexus 6 will obviously run it. HTC will be upgrading some its devices to Android 5.0. Motorola too has revealed its upgrade plan while Sony Xperia Z devices are getting the sweetness at the beginning of 2015. Even the NVIDIA Shield tablet is getting Android 5.0.
