C Spire Wireless launched the Galaxy S 4 back in July. The handset arrived with Android 4.2.2 and while an update to 4.3 was expected in time, the specific timeframe remained a mystery. But, it looks like the update has begun rolling out over-the-air. Otherwise, given Samsung had previously detailed the update, there wasn't much in the way of surprise.

Android 4.3 update has been rolling out for those with a US Cellular and AT&T branded Galaxy S 4. And as of today, it looks like the same Jelly Bean update has begun for T-Mobile users. The carrier has the update detailed on the support pages and it looks like it will be available over-the-air and by way of Kies.
Android 4.4 or 4.3, there are still plenty of handsets that will be getting updated with older versions of Android. In this case we are looking towards Sony and T-Mobile. Specifically, to the Sony Xperia Z which will be getting an update to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean beginning today.

Motorola announced the Moto G earlier this morning and as a lead in for the event, there was some talk of Kit Kat on the Moto X. There wasn't anything specific offered in terms of carriers, however Motorola did say Android 4.4 Kit Kat would be arriving for Moto X users in a "matter of weeks." Naturally, that depends of successful tests and carrier approval.

Sony recently began teasing some Jelly Bean and Kit Kat updates. That was little more than Sony promising and update next week with more details about Android 4.3 and 4.4. Well, next week has arrived and so has that status update from Sony. There are still some specifics that will need to be spelled out, however Sony has offered some rough timelines and some specific devices.

US Cellular has announced plans to begin the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update on November 8. And for those without a calendar handy, that would be tomorrow.

Sony did hit up Twitter with mention of both Android 4.4 Kit Kat and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean earlier this morning. There was mention of them being excited, however the they went on to say they will not be revealing anything additional until sometime next week. The details are expected to include "news on: 4.3, 4.4; products and more."
