Max Payne Mobile hits Android April 26th

When Grand Theft Auto III landed on Android phones and tablets it became an instant classic for those devices it supported. The developers behind the smash hit, Rockstar Games, recently announced they'd be bringing another awesome shooter title to Android -- Max Payne. Today we've just learned additional details including the release date.

Tweak your Grand Theft Auto 3 graphics the easy way, with a custom app

I'm sure that lots of you have been roaming around Liberty City for the past few weeks after the Android release of sandbox classic Grand Theft Auto 3. (Well, I'm sure that those of our readers who are 18 and above have, anyway. Wink wink.) You've probably heard that the settings file for GTA3's graphics is easily found and manipulated by any text editor, but if you want something quicker and more accessible, XDA member "hacksteak25" has a basic tweak app ready for your use immediately.

Grand Theft Auto 3 update adds Bionic and Galaxy Nexus support, on sale for $2.99

Yes! The awesome guys over at Rockstar games has just delivered not one, but two gifts for Android fans this holiday season. The recently released for Android version of Grand Theft Auto III has been dropped to just $2.99 for the holiday season until December 29th. If you get any AMEX giftcards for Christmas you might want to snatch this game before the price goes back up.

Grand Theft Auto III arrives in Android Market

Just as expected, Grand Theft Auto III has arrived in the Android Market, offering some classic high-speed gameplay on your Android phone or tablet. Priced at $4.99 in the US and £3.23 in the UK, the 10 Year Anniversary version of the game runs at HD resolution and supports select USB controllers. Those with a Galaxy Nexus may have to wait a little before they get their game on, however; Rockstar says the title is "coming soon" to the new handset. We're guessing that's an Ice Cream Sandwich compatibility issue. As for existing device support, the list is as follows:
Android Phones: HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, T-Mobile G2x Android Tablets: Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7, LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S, Toshiba Thrive
You can download Grand Theft Auto III here; it's not a small game, though, weighing in at a hefty 18MB. Let us know whether it brings back good memories in the comments! [gallery]
