Peek 2.0 arrives, brings in lots of features and fixes

It was supposed to be just one of the cool features of Paranoid Android’s custom ROMs, but Peek is now actually doing well on its own after being released as a standalone app in May. Users will be glad to know that Peek 2.0 has just dropped at the Google Play Store on June 13, and makers of the app have promised a lot of requested features – including a number of fixes – in store for those who get the update.

Facebook Messenger now allows short videos, bigger likes

We really don’t know how far the ubiquitous Facebook is willing to carry its Messenger app, but for now the social networking platform is still churning out updates for its chat and messaging app. In this new update that appeared at the Google Play Store just today, it looks like Messenger app users will now be able to embed short videos into their chat threads, as well as get a “bigger” way to express your Facebook likes.

Google Play Books to add 13 more countries to its roster

Mobile book readers in 13 countries will soon be able to access and buy ebooks through Google Play Books as Google continues to expand their market, this time in Central, North and South America, plus two more European countries. The new app update will bring a total of 58 countries where the ebooks are available, although its support page doesn't show it yet and will take some time to roll it out.

Google gives developers more stats in latest Play Games Services update

Google added new game statistics (for developers) back in March. Essentially, this meant game developers (on Android, iOS and the web) were able to get access to certain stats provided they implemented Google Play Games. Well, flash forward till the present day and it looks like Google will be offering developers a bit more insight.
