OPPO N1 international rollout getting underway

Following a series of rumors and teasers, OPPO unveiled the N1 smartphone back in late-September. At the time the handset was announced for China with the promise of additional markets later in the year. There was mention of the global rollout beginning in December, however the specifics remained a mystery. Well, it looks like the global rollout is beginning.

CyanogenMod to get built-in screen recording with touch indicator soon

Android users love sharing and showing off their latest themes, apps, and tricks, but sometimes screenshots just aren't enough to capture dynamic movements such as transitions, gestures, and other effects. CyanogenMod, the popular custom ROM that has somewhat become the go-to-guy for alternative and innovative Android solutions, will soon make that process super easy with a native screen recording utility.

CyanogenMod ‘AirPlay’ mirroring teased

Koushick Dutta, Koush from CyanogenMod has returned to his Google+ page with another video teaser. This latest is showing 'AirPlay' mirroring from one Android device to another. In this case, that means an HTC One smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet. The video offers a look at Angry Birds, however as this is just a mirror of the content -- it could be used for audio, video or anything else you do on your phone.

Steve Kondik of Cyanogen Inc. speaks to SlashGear about OPPO partnership

In making the move to an upright, wholly legitimate organization, Cyanogen was intent on having a strong hardware partner. They needed an avenue to showcase their OS, and get it into the hands of the masses without the bother of rooting and flashing a ROM. Steve Kondik and his team eventually found their way to Oppo with the N1, and tells SlashGear they couldn’t be happier.

Cyanogen looking for CM Installer app testers

Cyanogen had previously announced they were working on an app to simplify the installation process. Perhaps a bit nicer, it was said that installer app was going to be arriving in the Play Store. Well, flash forward till today and it looks like progress is being made towards that release. We have yet to see any sort of timeline given, however Koush has put out the call for beta testers.
