Nike blames BLE for their shunning of Android

Nike might be making a new smartwatch, or follow-up for their FuelBand fitness wrist wear. The leader in fitness technology has notoriously kept their efforts focussed on iOS, shunning Android along the way. Now, we may gain insight as to why that is.

Jabra Rox Wireless Bluetooth earbuds unveiled

Jabra has unveiled their latest set of wireless headphones this morning. Or in this case, a set of wireless earbuds. These are the Jabra Rox Wireless earbuds and while there hasn't been any price details revealed, the folks at Jabra have said these can be expected to arrive in December.

Fitbit prepping beta release for Nexus users

Fitbit has had an Android app available for a while now, but as we often see, the device support is rather limited. Officially speaking, the Fitbit Android app uses Bluetooth 4.0 with the LE (Low Energy) feature. For now that support is limited to a handful of Samsung devices, but it looks like some Nexus devices are getting ready to enter a beta testing period.

Google may be working on a smartwatch running Google Now

With everyone else entering the smartwatch game, it stands to reason Google would. With Samsung’s severely limited Gear, and Apple dragging their feet on the smartwatch they’re said to have in development, the time is right for a Google smartwatch. According to a new report, we may be getting one soon.

Nexus 5 spotted in Bluetooth SIG filing

Still no official word from Google on when we can expect the Nexus 5 to arrive, however it looks like things are progressing as expected. We have already seen the handset appear in an FCC filing and more recently, it looks like the Nexus 5 has made an appearance with the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG). The filing shows the model listed as being the LG-D821 and as we often see here, there wasn't much revealed in terms of specifics.
