AT&T LTE expands in Oklahoma, South Carolina and Wyoming

While maybe not as big of a push as we have seen with some of the recent AT&T LTE expansions, it looks like the carrier has announced additional coverage for three markets across three states today. The expansion deals with Oklahoma, South Carolina and Wyoming. The new coverage for today includes the cities of Cushing, Florence and Cheyenne.

EE 4G network speed and capacity will soon be doubled

EE, who happen to be the first (and only) carrier in the UK to offer 4G have recently announced some upgrade plans. The carrier has said they plan to double the speed and capacity of their 4G network. We have yet to see a specific date as to when this will be going live, however those increased speeds should begin arriving during the summer months.

AT&T LTE expands into 14 new markets across 11 states

AT&T has announced another round of expansions in terms of their 4G LTE coverage. We saw a few announcements during the month of March and given the time of month we are currently sitting at, we suspect April will bring more of the same for the carrier. That being said, for today we have word of expansion in 14 markets which touch on parts of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Texas and Washington.

AT&T 4G LTE coverage expands in five states

AT&T has flipped the 4G LTE switch for several additional markets. This latest includes select cities in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Ohio and Tennessee. Some of this latest LTE announcement is for new coverage and some is simply expanding upon existing coverage. Beginning first with Alabama, this includes an expansion in and around Mobile.

No Verizon HTC One among 185 operator launch blast

Verizon Wireless will not join AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint in picking up the HTC One in the US, where the phone is expected to launch mid-March, as carriers worldwide confirm their intentions toward the new Android flagship. Verizon's network is conspicuously absent from the run-down of North American support, which also includes Cincinnati Bell and Best Buy in the US, and Rogers, Bell, TELUS, and Virgin Mobile in Canada.

T-Mobile beefs up 4G coverage in New Orleans ahead of Super Bowl

The Super Bowl, as any American football fan will excitedly tell you, is coming up this weekend in New Orleans. Tons of fans will be flocking to the city to watch the big game take place, many of them with smartphones in their pockets. Of course, it isn't everyday you get to go to the Super Bowl, so we imagine many of them will be using those smartphones for all sorts of things during the game. Luckily, T-Mobile is up to the challenge faced with thousands of football fans tweeting, sharing, and plusing, boosting its 4G network in New Orleans before kickoff.

HTC One SV revealed with LTE, 1.2GHz dualcore S4, and NFC

HTC has unveiled its newest smartphone, the HTC One SV, headed to the UK to bring a slab of stylish LTE to the midrange market. Fronted by a 4.3-inch WVGA display and running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4, the One SV will land on EE's 4G network as well as through other carriers in HSPA+ form.

T-Mobile strengthens 4G network in three major markets

T-Mobile continues to push forward with its network refarm, today announcing that it has strengthened its mobile network in three key markets. Those living in Seattle, Minneapolis, and Atlanta should see faster data speeds on unlocked devices. T-Mobile's network refarm seems to be coming along swimmingly, as it was just last week that the company announced it had expanded 4G service in a number of other markets.

MetroPCS launches Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G

MetroPCS is adding a new device to its smartphone lineup. The new device is an upgrade to the Samsung Admire. It adds 4G LTE connectivity to the entry-level Samsung smartphone. Besides 4G connectivity, the device also comes equipped with some other upgrades and improvements, and it maintains an affordable price tag.
