AT&T 4G LTE coverage expands across nine states

AT&T cleared the 400 market milestone earlier in the month and it looks like they have recently flipped the 4G LTE switch for a handful of new markets. And in addition to some new coverage, AT&T also detailed some expansions for previously covered markets. The new coverage deals with Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Texas and Washington and the expansions deal with Georgia and Minnesota.

AT&T 4G LTE now available in 400 markets

Earlier today we learned that T-Mobile now has 4G LTE service available for more than 180 million people across 154 markets. And while that is a nice step up for T-Mobile (as compared to their previous status update), it also looks like AT&T has continued making progress towards their end-of-year goals. In fact, AT&T now has 4G LTE available in 400 markets.

AT&T 4G LTE expands to 14 markets across 10 states

AT&T has come forward with details on the latest 4G LTE expansions. This time around we are seeing several new markets that have gone live this week. In total, new AT&T 4G LTE coverage is coming to 14 markets across 10 states. Those states include Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.

AT&T 4G LTE expansion planned for 50 new markets this year

AT&T has announced the latest 4G LTE expansion news. Except this time around we aren't seeing any markets that are getting coverage today. Instead this time around they are getting a look at the markets that will be getting coverage throughout the remainder of the year. And in addition, AT&T also provided a status update in terms of where things stand at the moment.

Verizon inks deal to provide 4G LTE and 3G in NYC subway stations

Some of the NYC subway stations already have WiFi and/or cellular service available, however as of today that list will expand to include 3G and 4G LTE from Verizon Wireless. The carrier, along with Transit Wireless has announced that service will be coming "over the next several weeks." Those venturing into the subway with a Verizon device will be able to find coverage in any of the 36 stations that are already online.

AT&T 4G LTE further expands across six states

AT&T has once again returned with some news on the 4G LTE expansions. This time around the new LTE coverage is coming for those in a handful of markets across six states. Those six states include Arkansas, California, Georgia, Minnesota, North Dakota and Ohio. Basically, if you happen to have coverage available -- now seems like a good time to make sure you have an LTE handset at the ready.

The amount of coverage will vary from state to state, however this latest list includes Arkansas, Arizona, Illinois, New Jersey, North Carolina, Minnesota, Ohio, Oregon and South Dakota.

AT&T 4G LTE expands in Pennsylvania and New York

Coming less than a week after the previous 4G LTE expansion news, AT&T has announced new coverage for those in Pennsylvania and New York. The Pennsylvania coverage is limited to just one market, however the New York coverage is a bit more widespread for today. Of course, the way AT&T has been expanding the 4G LTE network over the past few months, even if your city is not yet live -- it may be soon enough.
