T-Mobile intros new no contract mobile broadband plans
Today T-Mobile has officially announced their new no contract mobile broadband offerings. Just in time for summer it looks like T-Mobile will be offering some decent 4G mobile broadband services for those that don't like to sign contracts. The new plans and pricing details below will be available from T-Mobile starting May 20th. They might not be the best prices around, but for no contracts I think some will like what they have to offer.

Now that the T-Mobile AT&T merger has been terminated they are looking ahead to 2013 and trying hard to get back on track. Last month they announced their plans to rollout a 4G LTE network similar to the current offerings from Verizon and AT&T, and today they've detailed more cities getting HSPA+ 4G starting today -- and their plans for the future.

LG swipes at NFC with Optimus LTE Tag
LG's second new Android smartphone for Mobile World Congress is the LG Optimus LTE Tag, and the company is hoping you'll get into the habit of tapping it against your dashboard. A 4.3-inch 1.2GHz dual-core handset - that looks, almost ridiculously so - like Samsung's Galaxy S II - the Optimus LTE Tag includes both 4G LTE support and a few sheets of sticky NFC labels that can be used to switch the smartphone between various modes.

Huawei MediaPad 4G hits AT&T February 3rd
Huawei announced today that their 7" Android 3.2 Honeycomb MediaPad tablet is headed for AT&T complete with 4G speeds. It wont be powered by their LTE network but instead will have 3G/4G HSPA+ connectivity. We've seen this tablet plenty in the recent past as the award winning MediaPad and it was launched back in November on T-Mobile as the Springboard tablet. Apparently it will be available starting tomorrow for AT&T customers for a friendly price.

ASUS Transformer Prime not receiving 3G in Q1
ASUS has said that a 3G version of its extremely popular Transformer Prime will not be coming into production by the end of Q1 - if at all. Actually, they even said "no such product exists on its current roadmap". For some, 3G capabilities within a device is their highest selling point - particularly to those who are always on the move and have no time for a dedicated WiFi connection.

Accessory vender Anymode has apparently partnered with AT&T and will be their OEM for accessories on the AT&T US version Galaxy Note -- coming "early 2012" according to their CES press release.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus modification will change your softkeys and their color
For Galaxy Nexus owners that just picked up their device from Verizon, you may finally have a reason to root your device. Yes, rooting does void your warranty - but it opens a world of new available features. Even though Verizon’s Nexus is fairly new, development has been progressing at an excellent rate. We recently discussed a battery mod compatible with the Android Revolution HD ROM for the Galaxy Nexus, and now there is a softkey mod that adds a “Search” softkey pictured as a magnifying glass to the right of the bottom menu buttons.
