Moto G LTE speculation prompted by FCC filing

One of the few complaints about the Moto G comes with the lack of LTE connectivity. Regardless of carrier model, or whether you are sporting the Google Play edition model, the Moto G does not offer LTE. And while we have yet to see anything from Motorola that would suggest otherwise, a recently discovered FCC filing does bring a bit of hope.

Verizon cell tower seeing interference from fluorescent lighting

As if the FCC didn’t have their hands full already, they’re now going to referee a spat between Verizon and a Los Angeles building management firm. It has to do with lighting, which Verizon says interferes with their nearby tower. The FCC is now stepping in to find an amicable solution to the matter.

EE and Three UK team up to offer LTE to more customers

EE and Three have combined to bring LTE service to more of Europe. In a £1 billion deal, the two carriers will access each others’ network across Europe. This is an important move for a burgeoning LTE network in Europe, and should provide better coverage in a quicker timeframe.

Verizon preps New York Subways in time for Super Bowl

Just before the Super Bowl, Verizon has increased their service in the greater New York area. More to the point, they are bringing service to 35 subway stations in the city, all on the west side of Manhattan. It’s good for those in town for the Super Bowl, and even better for New Yorkers who will be sticking around after.
