EE confirms plans to rollout LTE to 17 more UK locations
EE has just confirmed its plans to rollout high-speed mobile data to 17 more UK towns and cities by March 2013. In addition to adding new locations, EE is working to improve coverage in existing LTE areas. EE says 4G density is "being increased on a daily basis." EE is also working to improve its 3G network to support DC-HSPA, which will improve things for users who do not have 4G devices or are in an area where 4G has not rolled out.

Samsung released the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE for those in South Korea last month, and while we have had expectations of it arriving with Verizon Wireless, this recently discovered FCC filing suggests that release is drawing closer. Of course, as we all realize -- nothing is official until we hear it from Samsung or Verizon.

Not all that long ago, it was discovered that the Nexus 4 did indeed have hidden support for LTE. The catch with that, those looking to enable that LTE connection had to make a few tweaks. Plus, you had to be living in Canada and using either Rogers or Telus. In other words, the vast majority of Nexus 4 users were left out.

Good news, AT&T customers, because the company has launched 4G LTE in four new markets. AT&T has been hitting the 4G LTE scene hard, launching in markets at an incredibly fast rate. We've been hearing a lot from it here at the end of the year, and we would wager that we'll hear more about the company's 4G LTE roll out by the time 2013 comes around.

We received a few tips last week that Verizon and Samsung were planning to release the Galaxy Camera complete with 4G LTE speeds and today it appears to be official. While neither party has officially announced the connected smart camera for Verizon, it's been confirmed right on Samsung's official site.

Mobile technologies advance at a pretty alarming rate, with some of them becoming more popular than others as time goes. One of the technologies that seems to have stuck is 4G LTE, with carriers racing to expand their 4G LTE networks to get an edge on the competition. Verizon has been pretty busy lately working on their 4G LTE spectrum. They've been doing a little of both, selling and buying up available spectrum as long as the FCC approves of the deal. Today Verizon has confirmed they've sold more 700 MHz 4G spectrum to Clear Talk and will be awaiting approval by the FCC.

Enable LTE on Nexus 4 in Canada with a simple code
If you are in Canada, there is a way to finagle LTE onto the Nexus 4, according to the guys at XDA-Developers. Sadly, it only works in Canada, so the rest us are left out of this one. If you are in Canada, by simply entering a code hidden away in the phone you can LTE speeds. It almost seems too easy, but multiple users in Canada have tried it, and are showing data speeds that are right on par with you would expect to see from a 4G connected phone.

AT&T hits 4G LTE deployment plan for 2012 early
Verizon may be rolling out its 4G LTE network at an alarming rate, but today AT&T is showing us that it can play ball too. The company announced today that it doubled the size of its 4G LTE network during 2012, and the year isn't over yet. AT&T will continue rolling out 4G LTE through the end of the year and into 2013, so AT&T customers are only going to see their coverage get better.
