Casio Commando G’zOne Phone coming to Verizon April 28th

The Casio Commando is a rugged smartphone that is coming to Verizon starting April 28th. They are touting it as something strong and durable like the Motorola Defy, only better, and with Android 2.2. This phone should be able to handle all the drops, spills and dirt that most of you outdoorsy type do. I would mention a time frame to possibly get Android 2.3 but Casio has no track record for us to speak on.

A2SDGUI (User Interface for Darktremor App2SD)

For those that are fans of Darktremors A2SD scripts this will surely make you happy. For those that don't know, Darktremor is an excellent developer from XDA that has built the scripts that are most widely used in the Android community to move apps to the sd card. Mainly for older devices, pre Android 2.2 devices, or for power users like me that have 200+ installed apps. Yay! This story is about another XDA dev by the name elgubbo, he has created a user interface for A2SD that makes everything much easier for you.

Share Contacts by SMS on your Android Phone [Business Card]

Most of you can probably agree that you have had to do this at one time or another on your Android phone. Get someone a phone number, send your friend or a co-worker someones number and wished there was an easy and simple way for this to happen. Well now you can with Share Contacts by SMS. Instead of trying to copy/paste it, or write the number down or try to remember it in your head. Now you'll never need to do that again.

HTC Hero Maintenance Release rolling out now

Sprint has just announced via its official forums that a maintenance update for HTC Hero owners will begin to rollout today. Bringing in a few fixes, it's a welcome update, especially when we won't be seeing anything beyond 2.1 for the device.

O2′s Galaxy S being treated to Froyo November 15th

It looks as if the O2 version of the Samsung Galaxy S will finally be receiving Android 2.2 this month. In a newsletter leak to AndroidCentral we see that it will be receiving it on the 15th of this month, followed by the Sony Ericsson X10 line getting Android 2.1.

The HP Photosmart eStation C510 Printer with Android Tablet has been quite the buzz around the internet since it’s announcement. It’s a $399.99 printer that will also yield a 7-inch Android 2.1 tablet. Now although it’s not a full featured tablet, it’s uses with the printer are quite impressive.
