LG Optimus G2 with a 5-inch 1080p display rumored for May release

It looks like LG is wasting no time with releasing top end smartphones to try and catapult them into the top-tier of Android smartphones. With the LG Optimus G just a few months removed from officially hitting the streets we are already hearing about a successor. Either an LG Optimus G2, or possibly a blend between the current G and their terrible Optimus Vu. We're hearing this 5-inch 1080p smartphone will debut in May.

LG’s own 1080p smartphone leaks in benchmark results

To be honest we can't say we're completely surprised by this leak, but now that the HTC DROID DNA has been announced everyone appears to be "leaking" details about 1080p HD smartphones. Earlier today we heard reports that Samsung has their own in the works, and now a benchmark result has leaked showing an LG F240 device rocking a 1920 x 1080p full HD display.
