Motorola DROID XYBOARD successfully rooted

Its been some time since Verizon launched the Motorola DROID XYBOARD, and those that love to mod their devices have had to conform to using the included stock Honeycomb ROM. That's all about to change thanks to developer Dan Rosenberg! The bootloader is still locked down, but root access is now available.

This week in tech news we finally nab ourselves a Verizon branded Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE, review some excellent devices, and see Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) progress through some much needed updates. Monday, by no surprise - Facebook topped Nielsen’s list of most popular Android apps. To be honest, carriers should start including it with devices from now on, as it is probably the first application downloaded from the market by many.

Look what I just found, how exciting. This is the Vewisonic G-Tablet. it is an Android 2.2 tablet with a 10.1" LCD Display, front facing camera, and the highly popular Dual Core Tegra 2 Processor inside. It is extremely fast and runs very well. It has some custom user interface over android that is pretty crappy, but over at XDA there is tons and tons of development for this. It was the first Tegra 2 tablet released. This is a screaming deal for someone in need of a cheap tablet that isn't a china knockoff. For sale now at woot.com

Acer’s Iconia Tablet Hands-on

SlashGear got a good close-up look at Acer's main competitor in the 10-inch tablet category ... the Iconia Tablet A500. Designed to go head to head with both the Motorola Xoom and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Iconia is powered by NVidia's Tegra 2 processor for 1080p HD video playback that seems to be the tablet's main selling point.

Adobe Flash Updated again, Version 10.1.95.2

Just a few short days after Monday’s crucial Flash update that fixed the security hole within Flash 10.1, comes another update. The changelog for this update has not been published yet, but we can only guess that it makes it more stable as well as potentially patching something they left behind in 10.1.95.1.
