T-Mobile is scheduled to launch Comet with Android 2.2 on November 3. It’s going to be the first entry-level smartphone with Android OS that will be available to both prepaid and postpaid customers. Not only will this device feature Android 2.2 OS, but it will have access to thousands of apps through Android Market.

And if that’s not enough to get you excited about this new device, it also features T-Mobile’s 3G and WiFi networks, Google Search, Google Map, voice search, voice dialing, and voice navigation, just to name a few. This device is geared towards first-time smartphone users wanting to stay connected with family and friends while being able to navigate easily through different sites. It also features a 3.0 megapixel camera, GPS, music and video player, and touchscreen with Swype. We think it looks pretty amazing, and has so lots of great features for someone not sure about getting a high end smartphone right away. This seems like it could compete with other smartphones out there, at least for beginners.

  1. I HATE THIS PHONE!!!! THE PROCESSOR IS SO SLOW!! TEXTING, BROWSING, AND APPS ALL DRAG SO MUCH TIME. THE TEXTING FORMAT IS JUST TERRIBLE, AND SENDING MESSAGES TAKE LONGER EVERY SO OFTEN; THE MOBILE NETWORK IS THE SLOWEST 3G WHICH FOR SOME REASON DOESNT WORK ANYMORE; AND APPS FAIL TO RUN ALMOST EVERY TIME! THE SWIPE FEATURE LAGS TOO OFTEN. SETTING A WALLPAPER WITH A USER’S PHOTO IS LIMITED TO THE OVERSTRETCHED LAYOUT THAT WIDENS EVERY PICTURE. NO OPTION EXISTS WHERE I CAN CROP A FULL PICTURE TO HAVE A FIXED WALLPAPER THAT DOESNT SLIDE AS I BROWSE EACH MENU REGION. THIS PHONE WAS A WASTE OF MONEY.
