T-Mobile to bring Sony Xperia Z3 to US by end of 2014

No matter how excellent a smartphone is, if any of the US carriers don’t make them available, then residents won’t be able to experience the device. That has been one of the problems of Japanese OEM Sony as they have not experienced much support from local carriers in the region. But now T-Mobile has confirmed that they will be carrying the latest flagship of Sony, the Xperia Z3, which was recently launched before the start of IFA 2014 in Berlin.

Among the carriers, T-Mobile may have the most favourable relationship with Sony and so it is no surprise that they will be carrying the Xperia Z3. What was different this time is that it comes so soon after the debut of the flagship phone as it sometimes takes a while for them to be supported by the US carriers. The successor to the previous flagship Xperia Z2 has been received favourably so far since it launched yesterday with its 5.2-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and a 3GB RAM.

The Xperia Z3 still has a 20.7MP rear camera like its predecessor, but it has upgraded some of the details, like the 25mm wide-angle Sony G lens and a 12800 ISO sensitivity that is the first among the smartphones, as Sony claims. For gamers, the Xperia Z3 is doubly exciting as it has the new PS4 Remote Play feature which allows users to play their Playstation 4 games on their phone as well. The other Z3 devices, the Compact and Tablet Compact, also have that feature.

The Xperia Z3 is of course still waterproof, well at least up to 1.5 meter of freshwater in 30 minutes of immersion. As for how much this will be available in T-Mobile and what plans they can be included in, we still have to wait for further announcements.
