T-Mobile is really out to court the masses with offers that might seem ridiculous in light of the continued issues people have with carriers. But that hasn’t stopped the self-proclaimed un-carrier from having promos and offers that aim to bring more people over from other services to theirs. The latest of these are the “Uncontract” and Carrier Freedom, a variation of their Contract Freedom offer from before.

“We’re the Un-carrier. Everything the carriers do, we un-do,” is what president and CEO John Legere said during their Un-carrier 9.0 event earlier today. First off, the Un-contract offer is something that T-Mobile enters with a Simple Choice subscriber. It means that they promise not to raise their rates anytime they feel like doing so, as long as the customer remains with the carrier and sticks to their plan. Those who are on Simple Choice promotional plans can also keep those rates as long as they stay with T-Mobile.

Meanwhile the Carrier Freedom offer means T-Mobile will take on your outstanding device payments if you switch from one carrier to theirs. If you’re an AT&T or Verizon or any other carrier subscriber and you can’t leave because you’re still paying for your smartphone or tablet, just port your number to T-Mobile’s Simple Choice plan, trade in the gadget you’re still paying for, and then buy any of your new carrier, sorry, un-carrier’s smartphones or tablets. You’ll get the trade-in value as well as a prepaid card of the still outstanding balance of phone payments after subtracting the trade-in value. They will remit up to $650 per line on up to 10 lines. This is also open to not just individuals but to businesses as well.

The Un-contract becomes automatic for all Simple Choice customers starting March 22. If you want to know more about both offers from T-Mobile, we suggest you read carefully the terms and conditions to fully understand what it entails and so there will be no more surprises.
