Some of the US carriers may have begun accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 last week, however T-Mobile choose to hold things back till today, March 24th. The good news though, T-Mobile has opened those pre-orders both in-store and online and the handset can be grabbed for $0 down. The Galaxy S5 will not be arriving until April 11th, however T-Mobile is pushing for pre-orders by the end of the month.

Specifically, the carrier has said those who pre-order by March 31st will be “one of the first to get the Galaxy S5 guaranteed.” T-Mobile has the 16GB model available and has it sitting with a monthly price of $27.50. Or more exact here, the Galaxy S5 is $0 down with 24 monthly payments of $27.50. There is also mention of paying your ETF if you are transferring from another carrier.

To that point, T-Mobile is pushing how they are “all about getting you un-stuck.” There was mention of getting “up to $650 per line.” That breaks down as an “up to” $300 trade-in credit based on your current (other carrier) device, and another “up to” $350 per line based on the ETF from your final bill (with the other carrier). T-Mobile calls this “contract freedom” and will cover this for up to five lines of service.

Aside from the 16GB of internal storage, the Galaxy S5 also has a 5.1-inch Full HD display, quad-core 2.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, a microSD memory card, 16MP rear-facing camera and Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat. The handset is also water-resistant and dust-proof with S Health and an integrated heart rate monitor. Having said all that, along with opening up pre-orders, T-Mobile has also opted for a bit of teasing with an official Galaxy S5 unboxing.

  1. I just pre-ordered by new Galaxy 5! Not a great experience though….My Salesperson Mathew was doing his first Galaxy 5 order of the day and it seemed like I knew a lot more about the product that he did. The 16G was the only one available..I really wanted the 32G but Mathew couldn’t find that option. The Shimmering White was unavailable and the Charcoal black was back ordered. Seems odd that he would say this since they are not on sale until April 11th. I was going to order a second phone for my wife but I’m beginning to think I should of waited. Good luck to the rest of you.
