T-Mobile will soon be selling tablets out of Walmart. The initial availability will include one tablet, with a second coming in June. Both of these models will be able to take advantage of the 'Free Data for Life' offer that was announced back in April.
Having said that, the Trio AXS from Apollo Brands will be the first tablet available through Walmart. This model is priced at $179 and includes features such as a 7.85-inch HD display and quad-core 1.2GHz processor. Remaining spec highlights for the Trio AXS include T-Mobile 4G connectivity, 16GB of internal storage space, a microSD memory card slot and 1GB of RAM.
The second tablet, the one arriving in June, will be the HP Slate 7 HD. This one will be selling for $229 with features to include a 7-inch HD display, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 1GB of RAM and T-Mobile 4G connectivity. Perhaps more important for some -- anyone buying either of these tablets will get 200MB of data free for the life of the device.
T-Mobile also offers postpaid options for customers to get 3.5GB of data for $35, or 5GB of data for $50. There are also some additional daily and weekly postpaid plans available. Lastly, those with a current T-Mobile voice plan will also have the option to bump that 200MB to 1.2GB of data with plans that begin at $10 per month.
