While our phone screens are getting bigger and bigger, conversely, we want our accessories to become smaller. Of course this is understandable because we don’t want to be lugging around a bag that contains just our gadgets, external batteries, chargers, wires, etc. The smaller the accessory and the more functions it can perform, the better. A new IndieGoGo project wants you to just bring around a tiny little item that can serve as a flash drive, a phone connector and a charger, all in one.

The Symlis Sparrow is small enough that you can attach it to your keychain, but big enough in terms of storage that it can give your Android smartphone some breathing space. It can serve as a flash drive which can have as low as 16GB and up to 64GB of storage space. If your smartphone suddenly ran out of space and you badly need to take some pictures or install an app, simply use the OTG (on-the-go) flash drive function of this device to make space for important things.

If you suddenly need to charge your smartphone and there’s a USB port available near you, you can use the charging cable which has a high current carrying capacity You can also use it to sync your smartphone or tablet with your laptop or desktop. The only caveat is that your gadget has to be supported by the Sparrow, but don’t worry, the list is long.

They have not yet reached their target of $20,000 on their IndieGoGo page, but there are still 32 days left in their campaign. If you want to have the Smylis Sparrow (and not just any other perk item), you need to support it starting at $35 (that’s a regular 16GB Sparrow). Estimated delivery period is by October this year.
