Just last April, Android users finally got to enjoy Super Phantom Cat, a retro platformer that was really popular on other platforms. Mobile Android gamers got to experience letting the cat bounce from one challenge to another and it was not as easy as everyone thought it was, but it seems like the thousands of downloads show they were enjoying it. Now, you can play it on an even bigger screen as the game is now available for Android TV.

You can now enjoy the adventures of your feline superhero on the big screen and control the game with your high-quality controller if you have the Nvidia Shield TV. The game’s graphics and sound have been recalibrated for the TV screen and so they are much more vivid and of course much more enjoyable, that is if you like seeing pixilated cats running and jumping around trying to solve puzzles in the Phantom World.

In case you need a reminder of what this game actually is, Super Phantom Cat takes after the popular 8-bit and 16-bit games of yesteryears (think Super Mario, Donkey Kong, etc). In the game, you are Chemist White and when you were young, you had an encounter with Super Phantom Cat who saved your life, and now, you are in his world and trying to survive by jumping from one platform to another. Makes sense right?

Super Phantom Cat is available as a free download from the Google Play Store. You don’t need to side load to be able to play it on Android TV. There are also two in-app purchases, but you can still play even without them.
