Disney Mobile, along with LucasArts and Nimblebit have released Star Wars: Tiny Death Star for Android users. Some may recognize the Nimblebit name from Tiny Tower. But that aside, the game has arrived by way of the Google Play Store and while it is free to download and free to play, some may be a bit more excited about the look — 8-bit. Tiny Death Star has you playing on the Dark Side with Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine, however many of the familiar Star Wars characters can be found.

Your role in the game is to attract Galactic citizens, run an intergalactic business and perhaps key, help to build a new Death Star. The game has you earning credits to further build and enhance your Death Star. Users can choose from more than 80 types of Star Wars themed floors including ones similar to Rebo’s Karaoke and Cloud City Spa.

Other highlights of the game have you hiring Galactic Bitizens including the Wookies and Ewoks and also capturing Rebel Spies such as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Of course, while you can play and enjoy the game without spending any money, there is the option to speed things up using the Imperial Bux.

Bottom line here, this seems like a good option for those looking for some Star Wars themed game play. But as many will remember, this isn’t the only Star Wars game available for Android. Users also have Angry Birds, both the first and second release as well as a themed pinball game from Zen Studios.
