Sprint has officially announced the HTC EVO View 4G, the CDMA/WiMAX version of the HTC Flyer revealed last month. Described by CEO Dan Hesse as "not faux-g, 4G", the tablet will have a 7-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, 1.5GHz single-core Snapdragon processor and front and rear cameras (5-megapixels on the back, 1.3-megapixels on the front).

There's also a mobile hotspot app that will be able to share the tablet's 4G connection with up to eight WiFi-connected devices, for an extra $29.99 per month on top of your voice and data package, along with DLNA support for streaming media to nearby HDTVs and other devices. On top of Android 2.4 Gingerbread is HTC's Sense UI, complete with integration with Evernote so that the EVO View 4G's digital stylus can be used to take handwritten notes and sync them into the cloud.

The HTC EVO View 4G will be one of 22 4G devices Sprint is promising to have in its line-up by this summer. The carrier is yet to confirm pricing, but the tablet will arrive this summer with 32GB of storage.

Sounds like a real winner. I’ve been waiting for Evernote hand-writing integration with a stylus. I’ll be surprised if it actually has phone functionality native in the US since it’s been stripped from all other 7″ tablets. I think HTC is the android leader right now and I’m anxiously waiting some hands-on time with this product release.

I like this a lot. When my friend first got the HTC Evo, I thought it was oversized. Guess this is what I pictured ;)

I am so excited for this tablet! I can not wait until it is released. I am fed up with all this hype about the iPad 2. I think that this will be one awesome tablet. I can’t wait to download the DISH Remote Access on this. Judging from the specs on the screen graphics, this will be one awesome download. As a customer and employee of DISH Network, I have been using the DISH Remote Access app for some time on my HTC Evo 4G, and to be able to take TV Everywhere with me is probably one of the best experiences ever! Using my 922 SlingLoaded DVR and the app, I can stream anywhere. Since the Evo View looks like it will have 4G, that makes it even better because I can download faster wherever I am!

Don’t buy it unless you don’t want all your apps, I have a dell streak 7 on T-Mobile, 4G works in more places, the android market has all the apps I use, when I bought this I tried to download Bank Of America Mobile App, Yahoo Mail and Quick Office, none of these could be found on the market, called sprint, they said to contact developer, not their problem……real help they are….I’m returning mine, nothing beats my IPad, sure no flash, but at least i can get my apps!  Too bad they don’t make a 7 inch version of the IPad
