After the Sony Xperia X, XA, XA Ultra, and XA Performance are released in the US and other key markets, Sony is scheduled to unveil a new X handset. Next in line is this Xperia F8331 leaked recently. If you’re not convinced with Xperia XA, you may want to wait for this upcoming device although we’re not sure when and where it will be available first.

The Xperia F8331 is believed to be the Xperia XR. This is the first time we’ve heard about the model. No confirmation yet by Sony but we believe this particular leak. It seems the Xperia XR is poised to be another flagship to be released before end of the year or early in 2017. The phone could be introduced at the IFA in Berlin this September but we’re not sure–just hopeful.

This Sony Xperia F8331 aka Xperia XR appears to have a glass display. The sides are slightly curved and there are some speakers at the front. It looks different from the Xperia phones we’ve seen in the past. At the back panel is an obvious change in design and position of the LED flash. There’s some sort of a separator at the bottom which could be where the antenna bands are placed.

Other features and specs we can expect include a power button on the sides, 1080p display, and 4K video recording capability. The Sony Xperia XR may also have a USB Type-C and if that’s the case, then it will be the first USB Type-C handset from the company.
