Sony Xperia Z4

No official announcement yet but Sony is said to be introducing a pair of high-end smartphones before the IFA opens in September. Rumor has it that the devices will be part of a new series, which means they won’t have the Z, M, E, or C in their names. I know some of you were disappointed about the Sony Xperia Z4 (aka Xperia Z3+ in other areas) but the new series could probably be the reason why there’s no new Z model this year. Perhaps Sony was just busy with the new model that the company really didn’t have the time to focus much on the Z series.

Details are scarce but German tech website WinFuture.de shared some information about a Sony Xperia S60 and a Sony Xperia S70. The new Sony Xperia S phones? Looks like these two are the latest high-end smartphones from the Japanese manufacturer. The model numbers could still be changed though but at least we learned something today and we hope to see them in the market soon enough.

According to the website, the Xperia S70 and S60 could be available in Europe in mid August. Shipping might start on the 18th of August with the models entering the premium Android phone category. No information on specs and even pricing yet but they could go over the $500 price point–maybe even reaching $700 to $766 (650 to 700 euros) for the 32GB model. If that’s the case, then the Sony Xperia S60 and Sony Xperia S70 could go against the iPhone 6/6 Plus, Galaxy S6 edge, and that rumored Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

The Sony Xperia S60 is said to be available in several colors like yellow, black, white, and black. It’s the same with Xperia S70 which will also be ready in gold, green, white, and black.
