The popular local and location based social networking application Sonar is finally available for Android today in a limited beta. Sonar pulls data from publicly available profiles from Foursquare, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook and brings it all into a single application. It sounds a little scary I know, but we are hearing great things about this new social experience.

Previously Sonar only made connections using Foursquare but it now has access to all the others making it truly a wide social network tool. For those that just love the social atmosphere, and sharing everything with everyone this looks like a great application. The video below will answer any questions about Sonar — no matter how creepy it seems.

Basically no matter where you are Sonar will share your social network profiles, interests, favorites, friends, job status and everything else you allow it to share — with everyone around you. This could probably be both a good and a bad thing, but its been a smashing hit for iPhone since it was first announced. It’s finally available on Android starting today but it’s not in the Market yet so see the link below.

In a way I could really see Sonar being quite fun. Being able to meet and find people around you or in the same coffee shop with similar interests — but I’m not sure how comfortable the average person would be with using it. Let us know what you think by sounding off in the comments below. To get started with Sonar today hit the link and download the Android Beta now.
