If you're looking for the latest and greatest app to install on your Android smartphone, then you could do a whole lot worse than checking out the brand new SlashGear Android app, fresh to the Android Market. Bringing all the tech news and reviews from our gadget-obsessed sister site, the free download offers streaming video access, editorials, on-time analysis and more.

There's sharing support, and you can save articles for later reading. Best of all, the video streaming doesn't demand Flash Player support, so those running Android 1.6 or above will be able to see all the content (including the new SlashGear Weekly Roundup Video).

We'd love to hear your feedback, so let us know what you think and what you'd like to see added in the next version. Full commenting support is already in the pipeline. You can download the app here.
