Skype for Web

We all know that the Skype team has been working on a Web version of the popular instant messaging software. It’s almost ready but it’s still in beta form. The Skype for Web (Beta) can now be accessed and used by anyone from anywhere in the world. It’s also supported in several languages so you can be sure there’s one version right for you.

The Skype for Web is not only for Mac or PC users. Linux and Chromebook users can also now access Skype and take advantage of the many instant messaging features we’ve all grown to love. After the improved Skype for Outlook, Skype for Web is ready to be used by all the fans in the UK and the US.

Aside from English, Chinese, and Spanish, other supported languages include the following: Arabic, Danish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Turkish, Ukranian, Russian, Dutch, Greek, German, Czech, Bulgarian, Romanian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), and Norwegian.

If you go to Skype.com, you should be able to sign in, access, and connect to your registered Skype account. No need to download the native Skype client just to connect and start messaging with your friends.

Why Skype for web again? This is one of the Skype team’s first steps to advance towards making Real-Time Communications (RTC) on the web. More programs and apps are making web versions now because they are lighter, more convenient, and more accessible anytime and from anywhere.
