While the HTC Desire’s display may be a rich, color-saturated AMOLED, the smartphone’s casing is pretty mundane; HTC don’t seem to have strayed far from the Nexus One with their color palette. Happily it seems murky-grey isn’t the only color HTC plan to offer, with a brighter silver Desire already being caught in the wild in the Netherlands.
The images of the two devices were spotted by xda-developers forum member irkan and come from the Flickr gallery of Robert Webbe. No telling where he actually encountered the device – it seems to have been recorded at some sort of press event, judging by the video below – but it’s available for pre-order exclusively from PDAshop.nl.
They’re asking €449 ($620) for the silver HTC Desire, and reckon shipments will begin on April 9th. Anyone tempted by this over and above the more common brown version of the phone?
