Today Sharp has unveiled their newest tablet and this one will be running Android 3.2 Honeycomb on a small 7″ form factor. This Android slate looks nice and has an aluminum uni-body design around back and will be powered by those specs we are all used to for tablets. NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core 1 Ghz processor, 1GB of ram and should have 8GB internal storage.

While the screen isn’t 10″ like others the resolution is 1024×600 and you have a 5MP camera on the read and 2MP front. The new 7″ Galapagos also comes bundled with a 42Mbps modem inside for those looking for some data connectivity. We haven’t heard anything regarding a price but I’m sure the details will start coming in soon with the device being on sale by the end of the month.

Hopefully some of these Sharp products will make the trek here to the states and we even recently saw this tablet hit the FCC although whether that will be the version selling in other markets is still unknown. While we don’t have a side view the tablet does look nicely designed and sleek. Hopefully more details emerge soon.
