Sega has announced some upcoming game releases for Android. The titles include Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed and Sonic The Hedgehog 2. So far Sega has yet to offer specific release dates, however it looks like the racing game will be coming this winter with Sonic The Hedgehog 2 set for arrival sometime next month.

Both of these titles will be a follow-up to a currently available game. In the case of Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed, we are looking at a sequel to Sonic & Sega All Star Racing, which originally arrived in the Play Store back in 2011. Sega has yet to announce a price for this racing game, however the currently available title is selling for $1.99.

Otherwise, Racing Transformed will allow the user to play as Sonic as well as a variety of other Sega characters. The racing will be across land, sea and air and also includes 4 player races. Sega has said this release will bring 4 player local and online racing. Not to mention, social integration.

Sonic 2 - Mobile - Screen 02

Shifting over to the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 release. This one is touted as being “re-mastered for mobile” and obviously, comes as a follow-up to Sonic The Hedgehog. Similar to the racing release, we have yet to see any pricing here. But with that in mind, the original Sonic is currently selling for $2.99.

This title is said to be bringing some of the classic levels as well as some new special stages. And in addition, part of that re-mastered badging includes audio and visuals which will now be able to run at 60 frames-per-second.
