TYLT Energi 10K review

With battery packs, there are plenty of options available. Though the normal size of the external charger is around 5,000 mAh, some prefer a larger pack. With the TYLT Energi 10K, you’ll get 10,400 mAh of battery in a stylish, sleek package. Slick styling doesn’t tell the whole story, though. We put the 10K to the test to see if it holds up to another TYLT pack we highly recommend, the Energi+.

Boost MAX review

Boost Mobile announced the availability of the Boost MAX towards the end of January. The MAX was originally shown by ZTE during CES and was dubbed the Iconic Phablet. While Boost Mobile may have renamed the handset, they haven't looked away from the larger size. The MAX is clearly in the phablet category with a 5.7-inch display, and Boost Mobile was touting it as being able to offer the "best of a smartphone and tablet together." With that in mind, read on to see how well it stood up during our testing period.

SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive review

The SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive has been announced this morning. Essentially, this is a flash drive with a microUSB port on one end, and a regular sized USB port on the other. The drive works in connection with the SanDisk Memory Zone app, and is touted as being "the easiest way to free up space on your phone or tablet." With that in mind, the folks at SanDisk sent a unit over in advance, which means we have already had a bit of hands-on time.

TYLT Energi+ review

When it comes to your smartphone battery, having it run short while out and about is an underlying fear for all of us. We dread being in a place where we can’t plug in, and being out of touch when our phone or tablet dies out. With the slow death of removable batteries, a backup plan is in order. A battery pack is the easiest and most straightforward approach, here.

LG G Flex review

The LG G Flex is officially stateside. Via AT&T, you can now pick one up, and enjoy the 6-inch curved OLED screen for yourself. If you’re curious about the curved device, you’re reading this review as a means to decide if it’s the right one for you. Certainly polarizing, the G Flex stands out in a crowd, but does it do so in the right way? We find out.

T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z1S review

T-Mobile previously released the Sony Xperia Z, and the follow-up device has recently arrived with the carrier. This other device is the Sony Xperia Z1S, which sports some similarities in the specs, but does step up a bit in the way of the external design. That having been said, T-Mobile allowed us some hands-on time with the Xperia Z1S during CES and that meant a full week of carrying this latest waterproof Sony device. Curious about how the phone stands up, read on for our full review.

Jabra Solemate Mini Bluetooth speaker review

Jabra released the Solemate, which is a portable Bluetooth speaker, and later followed up with a smaller and larger version. These were dubbed the Solemate Mini and Solemate Max. We have been happily using the original Solemate for quite some time, so when the folks at Jabra asked us to take a look at the Solemate Mini, we were more than interested. What follows is a bit about the Solemate Mini, with some comparison to the original model.

Dell Venue 7 tablet review

Dell unveiled a pair of Venue branded tablets (running Android) back in October. These models included the Venue 7 and Venue 8, both of which arrived running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Dell had these two models available for purchase shortly after they were announced, and more recently, we have spent some time with the smaller of the two, the Dell Venue 7, so read on to see how this particular model stood up during our testing time.

Samsung Galaxy S4 mini review

The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini is the device we expected it would be. A solid performer, it is the lineal step in the life of a Samsung product, and diversifies their overall lineup. It might be a shrunken version of the flagship Galaxy S4, but it also makes a few compromises. Some of those decisions are expected, while others are strange to us. In using the Galaxy S4, we found it a nice fit, both in form and function. While the experience is paramount, some of the omissions leave us wondering — and wanting.
