end to the rumors, T-Mobile has confirmed the Nexus 5 availability date. It looks like the rumors were partially true. The Nexus 5 will be available on November 20th. That is the date the handset will arrive in retail stores and with select dealers. T-Mobile will also have the Nexus 5 available online and that date is a bit earlier.

Glass. We first learned that earlier in the year, however it wasn't until much more recently that we started to get an idea of when that would arrive. Google Glass v2.0 was unveiled late last month and one of the perks for the new hardware was support for prescription lenses.

Google Glass update. We saw the XE10 update arrive on October 7th and the XE11 update has been detailed by Google today. Last time around the update added transit directions, links in notifications and the ability to see the profile picture of the person you are messaging with. This time around we are seeing a few more changes and additions, including the departure of the long press.
Sony recently began teasing some Jelly Bean and Kit Kat updates. That was little more than Sony promising and update next week with more details about Android 4.3 and 4.4. Well, next week has arrived and so has that status update from Sony. There are still some specifics that will need to be spelled out, however Sony has offered some rough timelines and some specific devices.
Android 4.4 brought a new look to the dialer and along with that comes some new features. One of those features can be found in the settings, it is listed as "Caller ID by Google." This one is turned on by default and for now, is listed as being able to show names for people and businesses not in your contact list. Simply put, Caller ID on a mobile device, but there is more coming next year.
SwiftKey 4.3 arrived in beta form back in October. And with what appears to have been a successful few weeks in beta, the 4.3 release has graduated and arrived in the Play Store. The folks at SwiftKey have dubbed the 4.3 release as being one that has "Layouts for Living." To that point, SwiftKey 4.3 brings a few options for keyboard layouts.
Verizon Wireless has officially announced the Ellipsis 7 tablet. The announcement is light on the hardware specs, however Big Red is touting this one as being a "fully featured tablet at an affordable price." Said price will be $249.99 and those curious can expect the tablet to be available in a few days time.
Pebble smartwatch, it does seem like it has been some time since an official software update has arrived. But with that in mind, it looks like we are going to get something software related from Pebble next week.
