Motorola ATRIX 2 Review [Video]
Motorola's ATRIX 2 is a modest update to one of the most exciting smartphones to hit AT&T's network this year. It seems a little soon for the ATRIX to get a sequel, especially since the original is still available - at the same $99 price point, no less. Does some slightly updated hardware and a larger screen add up to a more compelling purchase? Let's find out.

CyanogenMod 7.1 released, HP Touchpad version coming in a few weeks
Rejoice, custom ROM users, because the grandaddy of 'em all has just updated. CyanogenMod, easily one of the most-used custom Android ROMs around, has released its latest version with support for new devices and a shopping list of feature updates. Even more exciting, those of you who picked up an HP Touchpad during the $99 fire sale (and I suppose those poor souls who paid the full retail price) might soon be able to enjoy a taste of Gingerbread on your cheap tablets.

Pantech Breakout Review [Video]
Welcome to the most affordably priced 4G LTE device to be released on Verizon yet, a device made by Pantech to not only give customers a choice of a cheaply priced bit of access to the highest speed network in the USA, but a reinforcement of their still tiny Android-based representation here in the United States. We've got a review of the Pantech Crossover, the first time we got hold of a Pantech Android smartphone. It's here though that we see a real fighting representation of the Pantech brand, complete with 4G LTE to download all your favorite apps and browse the web at the fastest speeds around. Then there's the brand new Pantech interface, completely unique in the Android world.

GameStop testing Android Gaming Tablet pre 2012 launch
Word on the street is that there's going to be a new gaming tablet… on the streets. GameStop company president Tony Bartel has commented this week about how they're currently in testing mode for an Android-based tablet that they've also already started working on a gaming controller for as well. This tablet will be, as Bartel calls it, a “GameStop certified gaming platform” and that it'll start with a few games and build up and up and up and explode all over the gaming industry similar to what we've seen (to a degree) with OnLive with HTC and other related groups.

Apple Sued by HTC Times Three
It appears that it's HTC's turn to sue, and the sued in this case is about to be Apple. HTC has filed a new lawsuit with the fruit-shaped company saying that they've infringed on three of HTC's patents, two of which were purchased by HTC back in April as they purchased the entirety of ADC Technologies. I'm not sure about you, but I think all this interest in patent cases has gotten a little out of hand - this sort of thing goes on all day every day, on all levels - why all the interest lately? Regardless, this set of suits has been filed in the US District Court of Delaware, Rueters reports, and has to do with iOS devices like the iPhone and the iPad as well as iPods and Macs using a certain IP without permission.

Motorola Remains Independent, No Necessary Nexus in Future
While Google's purchase of the Motorola group may mean many things for Google, especially along the lines of patents, Motorola will, if Andy Rubin and Motorola's Sanjay Jha are to be trusted, still act as a separate company. In addition, Rubin has doubly assured the Android public that the next Nexus device coming from Google will not necessarily be a Motorola device, and that Motorola "will be part of that bidding process" but will not necessarily be a certain lock-in.

Samsung TouchWiz UX Review [Galaxy Tab 10.1]
Today we've got our Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi version hooked up with the newest version of what Samsung has dubbed TouchWiz UX. This is Samsung's custom user interface and the first "official" user interface made on top of Google's Android Honeycomb (version 3.1 right here right now.) This user interface reflects what the Samsung Galaxy S II is using with TouchWiz 4.0 with several enhancements that are unique to tablets. The big question on a lot of people's minds today (if they own a Galaxy Tab 10.1 that is,) is "should I upgrade?" Let's see if we can't answer that question in a healthy deep dive review.

Huawei Vision smartphone looks sweet and packs new 3D interface
Huawei isn’t a name that most of us think of when looking for a high-end smartphone. Generally, the company is firmly entrenched in the low-end cheap Android smartphone realm. It looks like Huawei is set to make a push for some of the higher-end market with a very interesting looking new smartphone called the Huawei Vision.

LG THRILL 4G Review
It's that time again, time to look at LG's vision of a 3D media collecting and sharing world through what we saw before as the LG Optimus 3D and are now seeing as the LG THRILL 4G. This device is essentially the same piece of hardware with different bits inside and connectivity along AT&T's bands specifically - more like branded to AT&T specifically and released on their network. Will this 3D piece of machinery change the way we see personal photo and video sharing? Will its dual-core Texas Instruments processor and its ability to break the 3rd wall into our vision convince the masses to take the LG/AT&T combo plunge? These are some waters you're going to want to take a swim in. Check out how this bit of hardware is working.

Motorola Photon 4G Review
The Motorola / NVIDIA tag team continues to bust down doors and open up the options for strange new journeys on Android devices - desktop mode, docks galore, and the kickstand that turns your diamond-shaped Photon 4G into the world's most excellent desk clock. We've got the actual handset here, plus the HD dock, plus the car dock, all of them the standard editions you'll be purchasing in the store very soon from Motorola. If there were a predecessor to this device, it's the first dual-core device from Motorola, that being the ATRIX 4G that came out earlier this year with very similar dock accessories and very similar functionality. While it may seem like one's first inclination to compare this device to the ATRIX, we're already on a whole new landscape with more dual-cores on the market than we know what to do with. The ATRIX still sells off the shelf, especially with it's new cheaper price [$99 at AT&T today] and upgrade to Gingerbread - will the Photon add up?
