HTC Vision - in which the Android smartphone is T-Mobile branded - has leaked, with Engadget's tipster suggesting that the handset may launch as the G1 Blaze. The QWERTY Android phone supposedly has a 1GHz processor and 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen. Right now we don't know whether the Vision/G1 Blaze is intended for the US, Europe or both; last we heard, though, T-Mobile USA were looking at it for a September 2010 launch as their first HSPA+ smartphone. That would make it the fastest wireless device on their network.
first described back in May - has a 3.7-inch touchscreen, 1GHz processor and a slide-out QWERTY 'board, and was caught by njuskalo.hr. There's also HTC's Sense UI and a large optical trackpad. We're guessing they keyboard layout isn't finalised, as some of the function keys show generic icons rather than specific links to apps as they normally might. According to the earlier leaks, the HTC Vision will basically be the HTC Desire with a physical keyboard, not something we'd be disappointed in seeing whatsoever. [via Engadget]
HTC have seen some better days. And we hope they see them again. This weekend we learned some rather terrible news as the struggling smartphone manufacturer who has continued to decline as of late just let go of roughly 20% of the staff in the US. Despite a successful and popular HTC One smartphone launch, things aren't rebounding as well as planned.
Verizon Wireless branded HTC One and about how handset production is set to increase to meet the strong demand, but on the other hand it is getting harder and harder to look the other way. By that other way, we are talking about all the HTC employees that seem to be leaving. Well, that and the bit about the HTC First price slashing that AT&T has recently done. Basically, things aren't looking all that good for HTC at the moment.
