Samsung may be too focused on the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge flagship phones but the South Korean giant has not forgotten avid users of the Galaxy Tab S line. While working on the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 and Galaxy S7 edge+, the company is also busy on a new tablet. It’s not really new but the Galaxy Tab S2 recently got a refresh.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 now runs on a new processor. Yup, it’s the same Snapdragon 652 chipset used on the HTC 10 and the LG G5 SE. The phones are considered mid-range so you can say the tablet is also within the same category but then again, the Galaxy Tab S line is known for being high-end.

This Galaxy Tab S2 features some other important changes in the specs. The updated tablet now features a lower 2048  x 1536 resolution (QXGA) compared to last year. The tablet also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Galaxy Tab S2 refresh could also mean the Galaxy Tab S3 is about to be unveiled. Samsung could just be teasing the market because it isn’t ready with a new Galaxy Tab S for whatever reason. That or there really won’t be a Galaxy Tab S3 this year. What do you think?
