Samsung has a few tablets planned, and one of them is barely a secret anymore. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S, with its strange 10.5-inch screen, has been the subject of many leaks and has now just been seen in its true form at the FCC.

That Samsung would be outing another batch of tablets is definitely nothing to be surprised about. The Galaxy Tab S, however, is admittedly a little interesting. First, you have a rather strange 10.5-inch screen size, which is unconventional as far as tablets go. Second, and perhaps more importantly, the Galaxy Tab S is rumored to be one of the first Samsung tablets to return to an AMOLED display technology. The screen is expected to also sport a rather high 2560×1600 WQHD resolution, powered by an octa-core Exynos 5 chip.

This FCC filing for a certain SM-T800, believed to be the WiFi only model of the Galaxy Tab S, confirms the size, but, of course, can’t confirm the technology nor the resolution. The photos do confirm the tablet’s overall design, which doesn’t stray far from Samsung’s latest Galaxy Tab lineup. There is also talk of a fingerprint sensor similar to the Galaxy S5, though that bit will still need some confirmation.

Along with the Galaxy Tab S, which will come in WiFi (T800) and 3G (T801) variants, there is also an 8.4-inch tablet with an AMOLED display, the 3G T701 and WiFi T700, expected to be on the way. And one mustn’t forget the even stranger 13.3-inch giant, with an LCD screen only this time, that Samsung is said to in the works.
