Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 4 earlier in the month, and more recently, we are getting word of US availability. Samsung has said the Galaxy Tab 4 will be available in the US beginning on May 1. And to clarify, this includes the 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1-inch models.

Galaxy Tab 4 pricing will be as follows; 7.0 for $199.99, 8.0 for $269.99 and 10.1 for $349.99. Those considering a purchase will be able to choose between black or white, and availability will be with “major” retailers to include Amazon, Best Buy, Office Depot, Office Max, Tiger Direct and more. Samsung will also be selling the tablet direct, with a pre-order option coming on April 24th.

These tablets will be running Android 4.4 Kit Kat and WiFi-only for connectivity. The 7.0-inch model will have features to include a 1280 x 800 resolution, quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 8/16GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 4000 mAh battery, 1.3MP front-facing camera and a 3MP rear-facing camera.

The 8.0-inch model takes many of the same features from the 7.0-inch. In fact, the main difference between the 8.0 and 7.0 models is the battery size, which is bumped to 4450 mAh on the 8.0-inch model. Worth noting, while the display grows an inch, the resolution remains the same at 1280 x 800. The 10.1-inch model is another similar story. Here you’ll see the display grown in size, but retain the same resolution. The 10.1-inch model also has a 6800 mAh battery, but otherwise, is the same in terms of the remaining specs.

While this launch deals with the WiFi-only model, Samsung does have plans to launch a cellular connected model with AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile and Sprint. These are all expected to arrive “this summer.” Remaining details on the carrier models are as follows;

“AT&T will offer the 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 4 this summer. Sprint will offer the 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 this summer. T-Mobile will offer the 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 this summer. Verizon Wireless will offer the 4G LTE Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and 10.1 this summer.”
