While there has been no official announcement from Samsung that there will actually be a Galaxy S7 Active, it’s kind of a foregone conclusion, given all the leaks and rumors surrounding it, and the fact that there have been several Active variants of the flagships the past couple of years. But now, adding to this almost confirmation is the fact that AT&T has listed the device as part of its Buy One Get One promo (BOGO), despite there being no official word from Samsung yet.

But Samsung better make an announcement really soon because the carrier’s promo is only until June 30. And we know that there is still some time between the launch and the availability, so those who are waiting for the Galaxy S7 Active better cross their fingers. The rumors around the smartphone have included specs, saying it will have a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and it will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor and it will be available in Green and Desert Camo.

To be eligible for AT&T’s BOGO promo, you would need to get a new line with the carrier. The first device can be purchased through any AT&T Next Plan but the second one has to be part of the through the EIP 24 or the 30-month Next Plan. And if you look at the fine print (which we rarely do of course), you’ll see that the Galaxy S7 Active is part of the eligible devices available for this promo.

Now the other rumor that has come out is that the upcoming flagship variant will be announced by June 10, but no pricing and availability yet. However, the BOGO promo will only be up to June 30, so we really don’t know they will be able to make this work.
