Another day and another US carrier has launched the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. The handset arrived with Verizon Wireless last week and as of today we have seen it join the currently available lineup with US Cellular. Of course, while the dates had remained a mystery, Samsung announced back in October that the Galaxy S4 mini would be arriving with four US carriers in November.

That being said, US Cellular has the handset available in two colors; White Frost and Black Mist. The Galaxy S4 mini is priced t $49.99 on a new two-year agreement. And otherwise, it can be picked up for $499.99 if you are the type that likes to avoid the long term carrier commitments. Furthermore, current US Cellular customers will be able to upgrade an existing line for just $0.01.

Aside from the Galaxy S4 mini being new to the US Cellular lineup, we have seen this handset before. In fact, we spent a bit of hands-on time with the Galaxy S4 mini back in June. The handset is running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, sporting a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display and powered by a dual-core 1.7GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM. In comparison, the regular-sized Galaxy S 4 sports a 5-inch 1080p display and is also powered by a faster processor with more RAM on board.

Simply put, the mini is made a mini both in terms of display size, but also as being a device that steps down in specs (as compared to the regular-sized model). Otherwise, the Galaxy S4 mini also has 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC, 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera. There is also 4G LTE connectivity.
