By now the amount of rumors and speculation have been by the truckloads, but we’re hearing a few more “confirmed” details surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note III. Previous reports and benchmarks revealed Qualcomm’s quad-core would be under the hood, but today SamMobile has confirmed it will indeed be the 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800, along with 3GB of RAM. This phone will be a beast.

The Samsung Galaxy Note III will be revealed on September 4th, and by that point we’ll probably know everything already, except for what it looks like. Multiple leaks have tried to state it will look very similar to last years model, but we won’t know until Samsung shows it off up on stage.

What we do know though, is the specs. Many were confirmed last week, along with leaks for over a month. Those being a 5.68-inch 1080p full HD display being powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor. Regions with 4G LTE will get Qualcomm’s model, and most 3G areas will rock Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa 8-core processor instead. They’ll both get 3GB of RAM, and all regions will have 16/32/64GB storage options.

The Samsung SM-N900 will be the 8-core 3G variant, while the SM-N9005 will rock 4G LTE support thanks to Qualcomm’s 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood. This will also ensure the same device will probably work with most US carriers on LTE, all under the same chassis. Samsung’s 8-core chip supports US and other LTE bands, but likely this is due to supply and demand, and Qualcomm can meet the numbers.

Everything else remains the same, and we’ll just have to wait until early next month to learn anything in addition to what’s leaked thus far. Hit the source link below for a full list by region of what model is headed where.

  1. I’m less interested in the specs, we all know it will be flagship level internals. I’m more interested to see what new features Samsung has in store for us. Maybe an expansion of multiview to include more apps? I know there is a SideSync that is supposed to be added. I can’t wait for the announcement.

  2. My friend was saving up for the Note 2 when his contract comes up in September. Hopefully this is enough to talk him into the Note 3.
