This isn’t the first we have seen on the Galaxy Note 3 Neo, however short of an official nod from Samsung, this is a slightly different mention from the last. This time around we are seeing the handset as it makes an appearance with the FCC. The filing doesn’t offer much in the way of specifics, but it does pave the way for a potential US release. Not to mention, we have already seen those specs in earlier leaks.

The FCC filing shows the handset to have LTE and otherwise, has it listed as model number SM-N7505. The tests pointed towards GSM, WCDMA, and LTE as well as WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC and ANT. The confidentiality letter attached to the filing was dated from January 6th, and requesting a full 180 days. Needless to say, we would expect to see Samsung offer an official announcement well within that 6-month window.

We aren’t expecting to see the next round of Samsung flagship devices announced during Mobile World Congress, but at the same time, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see Samsung slip this one out quietly. For reference, Mobile World Congress is scheduled for the end of February.

Looking back to the earlier leaks and we see the Galaxy Note 3 Neo as having a 5.55-inch HD sAMOLED display with a hexa-core processor. That would be a dual-core 1.7GHz and quad-core 1.3GHz setup. There was also mention of 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 3100 mAh battery, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera.

Time will tell how accurate these specs end up being, but we cannot forget we also saw some benchmarks leak. Those benchmarks turned up with several images of the phone itself — which just so happens to be sporting a design that will look familiar to the Galaxy Note 3.
