Samsung has confirmed the US launch details for the recently announced Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition tablet. This tablet was originally announced earlier in the month, alongside the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear smartwatch. But perhaps more important for today, Samsung has offered up a price and release date.

This model tablet will be available in a 16GB and 32GB capacity and the price will be $549.99 and $599.99 respectively. Those considering a purchase should know the tablet will be available beginning on October 10th with pre-orders coming on September 27th. And as we often see with Samsung devices, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition will be available with a wide variety of retailers including Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart and more.

Samsung will have this one in Classic White or Jet Black and as we learned during the original announcement, the specs will include a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and quad-core Exynos 5240 processor. This model will also have 3G of RAM along with a microSD card slot, 2 megapixel front-facing camera and 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and an LED flash.

Of course, being a Galaxy Note device you can also expect to find the S Pen, which in this case happens to have what Samsung is referring to as an “enhanced set of S Pen features.” Some of these goodies include Air Command, Action Memo, Scrapbooker, Screen Write, S Finder, Pen Window and as many are likely familiar with — S Note.

In addition, Samsung is also including some perks to further entice a purchase. These are dubbed the ‘Galaxy Perks’ and they will include three months of Hulu and SiriusXM, one year for free Boingo Hotspot access and 50GB of free Dropbox storage for two years. The perks also include a one year subscription to Bloomberg Businessweek and a 12 week subscription to The New York Times.

  1. Wow I am shocked no 64gb model is available (sarcasm). Samsung always says they will have 64gb models of devices when they introduce them and they never ever materialize. 32gb model should be $499.99 to be competitive. I will now wait to see what the new Asus Infinity brings to the table with it’s extended ports, extended battery and keyboard… shame on you Samsung I have so many of your devices and the greatest feature on this new tablet for me was the 3gb of ram, but I am not paying well over $100.00 just for that extra gig.

    • Yeah, they are simply too high. If I want to spend that much, I’d get one of the new Atom win 8 convertibles instead. I have a TF300, will be checking out ASUS this fall.
